John Juby provides an emotional account of his time in Korea. He served with the Royal Norfolk regiment.

John Juby

John Juby was born in Ipswich and left school at fourteen years of age to work in an apprenticeship as a cabinetmaker. After his draft notification, he trained with the Middlesex Regiment before being transferred into the Royal Norfolk Regiment. In Korea he was assigned to the Pioneers where one of his key tasks was water purification for the troops.
