They abseiled like paratroopers
An experience not forgotten
On Saturday the 14th of October, 28 supporters of Legasee defied gravity to complete a “Hanging rappel” from the Mittal Tower in London’s Olympic Park. For those brave enough to look away from their rope, they had incredible views of many of London’s iconic sights.
Thank you to everyone who took part, everyone who sponsored the abseilers and everyone who came along on the day to get a cricked neck!
“It doesn’t have to be fun to be fun.”
– Barry Blanchard – Technical climberWhy did I abseil for Legasee?
Legasee’s volunteer filmmakers, writers and educators are passionate about preserving military heritage. Our hi-definition video archive offers exclusive interviews with veterans from 1939 to present. Every individual’s story is remarkable, but together they form an invaluable record of modern military history.
This fundraiser will help us to continue our work and improve the way we deliver our education in schools and universities.
Because it’s there.
