We capture the personal recollections of our armed service veterans
so their legacy of bravery, sacrifice and suffering can live on.
Get involved
Legasee have a core group of loyal volunteers but we are always interested to hear from people who share our passion for military history and education.
Please contact us if you would like to volunteer some skills.
“I think this is a fantastic project and i just wanted to say thank you. My Granddad, Brian Bird was interviewed about his time in the RAF and I know he thoroughly enjoyed being given the opportunity to talk about his wealth of experiences.”

Opportunity for Volunteer Videographer:
We are now looking for a volunteer videographer to film key events detailing our brand new Heritage Lottery funded project about the British military involvement with the Berlin Airlift of 1948-49. The filming will take place throughout East Anglia.
This is a special opportunity to become involved with a community project which aims to record the memories of those involved in a unique and important historical event, which is celebrating its 65th anniversary next year.
The first phase of the filming begins on 29th, 30th October when a group of Scout Explorers will tour three East Anglian airbases which were involved in the Airlift. (Oakington & Bassingbourn in Cambridgeshire)
In this instance we're looking for a videographer who would be willing to film their expedition as they hike between and learn about each base. We will provide guidance on the film's narrative with a pre-production shoot plan from an experienced broadcast documentary producer. You will need your own transport.
There is opportunity for the videographer[s] to continue with the project after this phase including the filming of ‘behind the scenes events’, interviewing veterans and sharing your filming and editing skills with our other volunteers.
Additional info:
- You'll need your own HD camera, sound kit and editing software [Ideally FCP].
- Reasonable expenses, including travel costs over 20 miles in the car, are covered for.
- We estimate around 12-15 days filming in total between now and August 2013 plus some edit time.
